Happy Chinese year and valentine!!!

on the feb 14, every year, from what i see,usually the male partner(sometimes the female one) will buy flowers and give it to their love one in their own unique way, and ohya it usually comes with chocolate, cards and for some love one...it will comes along with the gift!! then the very same night, woah...bring out to the luxurious dinner or special cook-at-home-romantic setting hahhhaha

this is event is what i called it love-booster day!!! why? cos they make the bond between two lovers even closer than ever year by year...

ohya it's also great money for the florist, chocolates seller, gift shops and many more...why double price still can sell it out cos of the commitment occurs by the lovers....

and this year 2010 is special or can say once a life time!! why? cos it falls exactly the same day as the chinese new year....and this is the first time i experienced it also!!! wow!!! but this very day has their very own purpose for the destiny...why? we shall see it about it later...

now lets look into the history of valentine day!! or st.valentine.....(soli ah for those who x like history..)

but still should knw about it cos its better to knw WHY valentine day occur rather than merely WHAT u should do on valentine day...

When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men — his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.

note that its a legend cos there's a lot of st valentine stories...but i found this more realistic to be called upon as saint....(my opinion la k....its not blasphemy)

and then we all shall look into what is the main purpose this CHINESE NEW YEAR occur....

not that on this very day u eat only, play fireworks only, collect ang paos ($) or chit chat with relatives and friends....or for some worse case...showing off time!!!

from my understanding....CNY in fact is meant and for the main purpose the REUNION OF THE FAMILY MEMBERS and so as THE GATHERING OF OLD FRIENDS....or THE TIME U APPRECIATE FRIENDSHIPS...

its not only the chinese custom says that u all need to go back on cny and its a must...but if u look into it carefully, a custom tat makes this community going back to the family every year! aint tat great?

i have a friend who said this to me, "haiz...valentine day i x celebrate with her..." "the valentine day for me this year is so boring" "this year i am going to celebrate this valentine alone (single)"

and as i said earlier....how come such event can be so special?

valentine is not only meant for the lover for instance ur gf, bf, husband or wife...

but valentine day, most ppl x realise that the real valentine day is meant for ur LOVE ONE!!! and when i meant ur love one i am referring to YOUR FAMILY, YOUR PARENTS, YOUR BROTHERS, YOUR SISTERS, YOUR RELATIVES AND SO AS YOUR FRIENDS....

valentine is meant for is for the celebration of relationship and yet the CLOSEST RELATIONSHIP U EVER HAD is ur family!!!!

so PRAISE TO THE LORD, that this valentine is a miracle by Him for He made it on the very same day as the CNY...

so that we all have our chance to get close to our love one...

express ur love to them like u never did or u ever wanted to...there's no sin found in expressing ur love to ur parents...

and for me u should consider putting ur parents first or family first in ur everyday priority....

not that i am so narrow...but if u consider this....

who's love that makes u exist here in this very world?

who's dedication that makes u walk on this earth?

who's commitment that makes u the person of who u r?

want answers? look at ur family for the answer...u will knw one and get it from them...

for ur family, u x need to buy flowers for them or all the things i mentioned at the very beginning but the moment u spend with them the quality moment and so as the duration u spend with them....

spend it all with them...why? for those who work out station or study abroad...

u will feel so homesick or cry when u're on ur way back here cos u felt like u x spend enough with ur family...ur frens....

because the valentine days is meant for the celebration of love and the one who actually gives u the definition and the understand so as the soul of love is ur PARENTS!

so take this chances now and celebrate it with them also!!!

and not only for Chinese friend i am addressing to, also to all my friend from other races than Chinese, it's a national holiday!! so u all can take this opportunity to do the same thing to ur parents!!! woot!!!
